Canon imageClass D480

The Canon ImageClass D480 is a laser multi function copier with a pretty decent duplex printer which is quiet and quick and easy to use. It’s also great for those with limited space as it doesn’t have a large footprint.

Canon ImageClass D480’s duplex capabilities for copying and printing, scanning as well as faxing leaves a user satisfied with this compact little unit which works flawlessly. The multifunctional device helps a user to copy from single sided pages and output a double-sided page. Its 50 sheet duplex automatic document feeder enhances the workflow.

The D480 copies and prints in black and white at the speed of up to 23 pages per minute. The low power standby mode which quickly warms up and the first quick prints or copied pages are delivered in approximately nine seconds making it an fast, responsive unit. Paper loading is made easy by the 250 sheet paper cassette at the front of the machine. One can reduce, enlarge, collate or make copies easily from the control panel.

This all in one laser printer can be set-up on a network quite easily. Its Super G3 fax is quick and reliable with speed of 33.6 kbps. This ImageClass D480 by Canon has a sharp resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi that gives sharp prints and color scans resulting in excellent image quality.
It features an inbuilt Ethernet port for networking the printer as well as faxing and scanning from a PC which can be tricky to set up and a cimbersome. A USB 2.0 Hi-Speed port is also provided. A wireless or wired MFP printer server is available too at extra cost.

Everything printed and scanned by ImageClass D480 has been very clean and of decent quality. Its single cartridge system makes maintenance a breeze, and long life of the cartridge is another point in its favor. When the ImageClass D480 is switched into the toner saving mode, it allows for up to a 20% more economical toner usage which compensates the toner replacement charges.

Toner is an ink which is regularly used in these machines which is in powder form and can be stored (when sealed) for twenty four months prior to being used. The toner cartridge for canon D480 prints 2000 pages.
